the last photo of my 10 hours of photos on thanksgiving day.
i did this little project last year on thanksgiving and on christmas, thanks to an idea from andrea tompkins of @missfish twitter fame;) who blogs at
a peek inside the fishbowl .
the photos are not life changing in any way...but at the same time, i have no doubt that they will trigger the memories of this year, the first thanksgiving in this home...a flooded pond, the notable absence of my oldest ( who did not wish to be part of the afternoon...it happens. he happily rejoined us for turkey, refreshed and fun again. teens. what can you do with them?), and apparently the BEST turkey ever.
even though it was not a real turkey, no matter what the boys tell you.
last year's thanksgiving photos chronicled our voyage home from toronto after a terrific visit with my sister and her family. this year, we while were not together, they are no less in our thoughts.
the house was much emptier without the sounds of big family;).
next year? it will be loud again.

Loved the thanksgiving photos and the Alex with the remote. So lovely to check in and see you and a bit of Canada...the fall, the imagined Turkey. All seems so far away from where I sit, yet you brought me over to your world for a bit. Thanks.
